Health Savings Accounts (HSA)

Our Health Savings Account (HSA) provides a competitive plan that will assist you in controlling your health care costs — and offer you great tax savings.

If you have a qualifying high-deductible health plan, our HSA offers a variety of savings options. It allows you to pay for current health care expenses and future qualified medical and retirement health care expenses on a 100% tax-free basis.

Your HSA can also be used to supplement retirement income or used if a disability occurs. The funds in your HSA are controlled by you and are rolled over every year for your health care expenses.

HSA Benefits

  • You benefit from tax savings.
  • HSA contributions can be deducted from your gross income on your federal tax return.
  • Some states also allow the deduction from state income taxes.
  • You can pay for qualified medical expenses — tax free.
  • You benefit by earning interest.
  • You typically save on your premiums when you switch from a low-deductible to a high-deductible plan.
  • Your funds are portable and remain with you even if you switch jobs or are unemployed, move, have a change in marital status or obtain future medical coverage.
  • You benefit from long-term savings.
  • Your funds grow in your account, tax deferred and you can make withdrawals penalty-free at age 65.
